Not a typical romance novel. This book is a light-hearted romance with a little medical mystery thrown in. By the end of the book, I felt like the characters had become my friends. Can’t wait to read Book 2.

What a fantastic book to read. Kohl stole my heart from the very beginning. Abbie felt like she could be a best friend. The great thing about this book is that there isn’t a lot of fluff to make the book good. Kathleen Nelson Tellish is a very well written author and keeps you engaged the entire time! Patiently awaiting the arrival of book 2!!! I’m so glad I found a new favorite author!!!

It is exciting to find a new author. I enjoyed the well developed story and by page ten I knew “Guarding My Heart” was a keeper and has been added to my reread list Kohl and his personality adds so much to the story. Reading how he and Abbie adjusts to major life changes kept me reading into the night. I am looking forward to reading about the rest of “the crew” . A great read!!

Guarding My Heart is not your typical romance novel!
As a man, romance novels are not on my reading list, but the antics of Kohl throughout the story kept me engaged. This is not a mushy romance novel, but one that men can also enjoy. Well written, engaging, and entertaining, and now I want to know what happens in Book 2!

This is a fun read if you enjoy a good romance set at the beach which is coupled with the humor of raising a big dog, the unconditional love of long-term friends, and the excitement of meeting a new partner with some baggage after experiencing a tragic loss. The story takes several unexpected turns, but has the reader rooting for the new couple and the beginning of their journey. Book 1 in this series leaves you anxious to read more about each of these characters in Book 2.
